"hold keegs"

We celebrated Nanny turning 82 a few days early, and anytime Keegs is in the room, sweet James asks to hold him.  The kid is infatuated with the little guy and it's adorable to watch it play out.  Clearly he's getting a little lax with his technique.

And every so often Declyn will request that he hold his little brother.

Do you think he was done nursing?

poppin bottles

Saturday morning cartoons had to include bunny & elephant.

I was nursing Keegan in the living room when I heard some commotion.  I walked into the kitchen to find this scene playing out in front of me.  Apparently D had opened the fridge and taken out the wine bottle, then he opened the drawer and got the wine opener, and finally, started in on uncorking it.

We got some legit snow/sleet mix that Declyn was not too fond of -- probably because it was pelting him in the face.

butts up

Taking after me, this child can fall asleep in some unique places -- my legs being one.

What I found adorable was at the exact same time Declyn was also sleeping with his butt in the air.
[don't mind Keegan's questionable outfit choice : what he wears when no one is around is his own business]

Keegan and I share a favorite snuggle position.

(except for him using my hair to keep him laying upwards).

I scream, you scream ...

My dad now takes one day off during the week and on that day last week he wanted to take his grandchildren on an ice cream run.  They were besides themselves. And hands down I think my dad enjoyed it the most.  :)

Goofing off in between my paparazzi shots.

Their laughter could not have been any sweeter.

When we got back the sun was out for the first time in what seemed like forever, so we pulled out the Radio Flyer and D tested it out for the first time.  I must say, he picked up on the concept pretty quickly.

Brent was trying to imitate Pop's puppet shadows.

up close and personal

More excitement from my knees.

I am so in love with his smile.

The amount of facial expressions this child has is endless. Not even joking, he recently started raising one eyebrow.  I don't even think Mike can do that.

photobomber

I was trying to get some shots of Keegs (my go-to position with him on my legs) and Declyn wanted in the picture.  How sweet is that chunky face?

And he also likes to lay with him on the play mat.  Such a good big bro, this one.

braving the ride

Winter outside means indoor activities.  I don't know what it is about this ride, but every time we come Declyn wants to get on it.  This time Caden got on board (literally) with the idea.  I'm sure he wasn't expecting D to sit on his lap.  But he was cool with it.

Such sweet friends... when they're not fighting over toys.  :)

I tried to get them to look at me before they ate lunch.  This was the best shot.  I think it sums it up nicely.

I had Keegan in the car and Declyn was next.  He, however, had a different agenda.  It doesn't matter where we are or what we're doing; if it snows he is all over it.  His poor hands were borderline numb from picking the snow up without any gloves on.

In all fairness it started snowing after we left the house ... didn't expect the weatherman to be right.

love these two

Per my request, Mike has started taking monthly pictures like this so that after a year I can put them all together and see how Keegan changed throughout that first year of his life.  This was month two.

Some selfie kisses.

Just a few outtakes from his two month photo shoot.

And of course Declyn wanted to join the action.

baptism day (via my iPhone)

Both boys with their Godmother's.  Declyn wouldn't go to anyone but me, so Meag had to do a little awkward hold pose for the picture.

He had to change outfits for his partay afterwards.

And then completely remove his pants to hang with his Godfather.

faces for days

I don't know what it is about my babes, but they both love to make this kissing face...

Loving him some dad and Keegan time.

His smile, which I have yet to capture a good picture of, makes my heart melt.

round and round

How else do you pass the cold days then taking the time to ride the carousel a few times?      Unfortunately, this is the best I could get before the ride started.  Two out of three isn't bad.

Declyn absolutely loves riding those horses.

My pretty niece and her wonderful mama.

comatose

Usually during nap time (at least Declyn's, since Keegan isn't yet on a schedule), I use that time to chisel away at my to-do list that's constantly growing.  Today, I decided instead to snuggle my youngest and take a little time to relax.

Declyn and his cousin Parker were completely wiped out from their playtime together.  Jamie sent me a picture of Parker passed out on the way home, and I returned the favor with this one of Declyn.  When we got home Declyn was an easy transition into his crib. Poor Parker was wide awake, asking for the dogs.

bath : 1 - keegs : 0

Right after his bath I laid him down on our bed to look at the ceiling fan, gave him a pacifier, and in no time he was out cold.
Side note: Declyn picked out his pajamas ... not too shabby.

Even his little hand was thrown back over his head.

I was going through pictures on my mom's phone and came across ones it'd never seen from when Keegan was born. And boy was I pleasantly surprised.

Our sumo baby right after entering this World.  I forgot how chunky he was (8 lbs and 12 oz of pure love), but I did not forget how squinty his eyes were.

I'm tired, Declyn could care less, but Meag and Keegan are grinning from ear to ear.

This was Mike and I's first picture with Keegan.  And I absolutely love it. Good job, mom!

prize fighter

Mike was giving the boys a bath and when I came in to see what they were up to, this is what I found.  What I didn't realize, and Meagan so sweetly pointed out, is that Declyn is spelling out Jew on Keegan.  Hey, you never know.

Alyssa, being the responsible Godmother of Keegan, asked if Declyn's baptism outfit would fit Keegan or if she needed to buy him a new one.  I'll let you be the judge.

All smiles in his Halo sack.

I have to roll up his hat these days so that it doesn't fall over his eyes.
Hat over the eyes = one pissed off kid.

This one sandwiched himself in his crib.  Still not exactly sure how he made that one work while continuing to sleep.
