I like your style

Mike found these bad boys over the weekend and I absolutely love them.

Our little dino.

Having a relaxing morning.

throwing it back

A family friend came across this picture of my parents from back in the day.  What makes me smile is that no matter how many years have passed, you can still find my dad making that pose, holding a cup of beer.

I opted to take the lightest awake child with me to Target and lucky for me not only did he fall asleep, but he conveniently fit in the cart so I could really take my time and do a little browsing.

My minions and I getting it done.

goggles and snow shovels

Bundled for the frigid weather.

They called for 5-8 inches of snow.  It's still snowing.  Hard.

Tried on Mike's glasses... and loved them.  Lets just hope he never has to get his own prescription.

Observing tire marks.

Declyn kept talking about wanting to go sledding, so of course Mike took him, despite the wind and snow whipping them both in the face.  Even though they didn't last long, I know Declyn loved every second of it.

false alarm

This week Declyn has been showing interest in our house alarm key fob (I call it Daddy's car key) -- in all fairness, we stupidly kept it in our 'candy' dish, which is easily reachable for D.  After dinner he decided to take it out, this time accidentally hitting the panic button.  Mike immediately turned the alarm off, and we both thought nothing of it.

Fast forward ... I'm upstairs nursing Keegan and Mike is in D's bathroom while he goes potty and gets ready for bed.  The doorbell rings and Mike runs downstairs to answer it.  Unbeknownst to me, it's two police officers responding to the alarm.  While Mike is signing their paperwork, Declyn decides to come out of the bathroom and post up at the top of the stairs (where the officers can see him).  Here's the kicker -- he's butt naked with his nebulizer mask* strapped on his face while he practices his breathing.  So here I am, exposed while nursing, trying to coax D into the bedroom so the officers wouldn't have to see any more crazy.

I just love that the officer wrote, 'child hit panic button.'

*he was briefly diagnosed with bronchiolitis and the peads did a treatment on him while we were there.  we got to keep the mask.

Declyn loves to get on the floor on his stomach and do spins.  While he was down there he stopped, pointed under the oven, and said, "Car."  Turns out his police car had wandered away.

Leaving my parents house, D wanted an apple that he spotted.  My mom gave it to him, telling him he could have it for breakfast the next morning.  I suggested she washed it off just in case he tried to it eat on the way home.  Sure enough, I was right.

I didn't have my phone on me when these two, plus Declyn, were laying head to head on the floor together.   But at least I was able to catch this.

I see you

I was playing hide and go seek with my nephews, and due to Brent's petite size, I decided to conveniently hide him behind a backpack at my parents house.  Not only did he sit perfectly still, but his brother walked right past him without a clue he was there. The second time passing him, James did a double take when he saw some feet sticking out.

Staying warm in this crazy cold weather.

My dad wanted to take the boys to Chuck E Cheese on his day off, and of course they all three wanted to be in the same ride together.

Trying out their dance skills while keeping up with the beat.

"Hi Keegs."

so fresh and so clean, clean

This one is loving bath time more and more with every one he takes.  He's now big into kicking his legs, swinging his arms, and rocking his body back and forth.

This is how my camera feed usually looks.

Until I decide on a picture...

or two that I love.

brusha, brusha, brush-a

There's so much about this picture that cracks me up...

and this one isn't any better.

I was a day late and a dollar short.  Right before this moment Keegan had his hand on Fenway like they were old pals.

snowfalls

While I think this is a neat picture of a boy and his dog, what's really happening is that D took the stick from Fenway after they were playing, and wouldn't let her have it back.

He carries this damn shovel everywhere in the house , so it's no surprise after helping Mike shovel he wanted to do it on his own.

Hey, mom and dad.

those lips

I wish my lips looked like this...

This is how we start our mornings when there's snow on the ground.

Taking out all of the toys in the basement and circling them around him has become a ritual for this guy.

back to the peads

I am obsessed with these Hanna Andersson pajamas.  I mean, have you seen anything more fun?

Poor D has had a cold on and off for about a month now, so we went back to the peads for a second visit (the first visit he was cleared as just having a cold).  He decided to indulge in some reading in between getting checked and having a nebulizer treatment.  The doctor diagnosed him with bronchiolitis. Just like a cold, it's viral and will go away on its own.  My poor babe.
On a funny note, the doctor who saw him weighed about 80 pounds and could not hold him down to look down his throat to save her life.  She kept telling me how strong he was and in the end Declyn won -- she said she didn't need to check his throat after all. I double checked to make sure it was really OK that she didn't look at it, and she confirmed it was.  Apparently the nurse was too busy to help, and she never suggested we switch places (I was holding his arms).  Leave it to Dec to be stronger than the doctor.

3 months

Keegan turned three months on Valentine's Day and guess what he did to celebrate...

he sat up!!  I put him between my legs to grab something during story time, and this was what I saw.  Granted it is a very bad angle, and photo for that matter, but how exciting!

And Declyn actually used his mini pillow correctly for the first time since getting it.  Apparently Mike showed him how to use it and he listened to him (unlike when I tried to show him how to do it).

L.O.V.E

I found this amazing printout online and just had to do it -- Declyn's hands are on the left, and Keegan's feet on the right.

Hanging with his Pops.  Today was his day off and he chose to spend it doing arts and crafts with all his grandchildren.  We are all lucky to have him in our lives.

Mike gets me the best V Day flowers -- they're from a volcano somewhere and they are always on point.

Denise is dog sitting her son's dog, and brought it over when she brought the boys Valentine's.  Declyn quickly grew attached and wanted to take him home.  If I can convince Mike, this would be our next dog.

This was the best we could do for a V Day picture.  Declyn refused to even sit next to Keegan, so instead he's in my lap and I took a little selfie.  I couldn't believe the role reversal that took place.  Isn't it supposed to be the baby that won't smile?

Mike and D made homemade cupcakes for dessert.  An entire tub of hot pink icing was used in the making of the deliciousness.

cheeks

Who doesn't need a little Starbucks to start the day off right?

One happy baby, this one.

Declyn got heart-shaped play doh as a valentine from someone in play group and he took it to his table, stamped and cut it, then brought it back in this condition.  Not only did it look like above, but he decided to place it on his brother's head while he was taking a bottle. Of course Keegan wasn't even phased.

Those cheeks.

goodnight, moon

It's our bedtime ritual that Declyn gets to pick a few books to read before he goes to bed.  Lately he has requested that his brother be a part of it.

This one cracks me up.  He wanted to sit in his booster seat, yet eat off his highchair.
