using that imagination

Going in hard for the hug.

After he goes down a slide he likes to sit at the bottom and stand up, then sit down.

"Momma, look.  I'm in a boat!"

pumpkin slides

We headed to a pumpkin patch filled with lots and lots of inflated slides.  The tiger, above, was the largest one they had.  According to Mike, Jamie and Joe, it was also the fastest, leaving them with rug burn marks on their ankles and elbows.  This was also the slide that Declyn insisted Mike take him down over and over again.  And being the good sport that he is, Mike never said no.  I cried laughing when I saw the picture I got on my phone.  It sums the ride up perfectly.  Not only did they come down fast, but they came in hot.  Does anyone else see the pain on Mike's face and the joy on D's?

Showing Uncle Joe some love.

Declyn's formation coming down slides absolutely kills me.

He refused to get out of the bounce house.  I wonder why.

Gutting his first pumpkin.

Helping Dad carve their favorite thing ...

a minion!

we work out

Nothing like a couch full of kids.

Showing him the ropes of the playground.

My little daredevil, testing his boundaries.

lunch at the zoo

This about sums up how lunches can go.  These two just feed of each other ... literally.

Alwyays looking up to (and at) his big bro.

free hugs

I can always count on layers to keep this one warm, as well as him passing out as soon as he's in the car post exercise class and playgroup.

The view from the top.

Keegan goes in strong for the hug ... most of the time knocking Declyn over.

a windy winery

Picked Mike up from work and this was the view from the parking lot.  I would not be able to get anything done if I looked at this every day.

He loves, loves, loves balls.  I'm not even kidding.

And he loves James.

Despite being super windy (thus making it super cold), we had such a fun time celebrating our dear friend Mayela's birthday with her beautiful baby girl.

Crossing the bridge on the way home.  Not a care in the world.

pumpkin patch

I love capturing moments of pure, sweet love.
And Nanny is loved more then she'll ever know.

'Hey man, can I catch a ride?'

Hey you guyyyyys!

Slides were going well, until Declyn went down one of the big ones and did a little flip turn at the bottom, resulting in the loss of a shoe.  That was the end of solo rides for the day.
Not pictured: Nanny going down the biggest, bumpiest one there was.... to say she's a champ is an understatement.

the sweetest

I joke about it now, but the kid really is showing a lot of foreshadowing when it comes to changing religion...

I asked Dec to stand in the grass while I put Keegan in the car.  I looked over and he was sitting on the curb. Crosslegged.  Melted my heart.

One of the momma's at Stroller Strides said that she had to take a picture of all three of us together.  In my mind, it was a little cuter. ;)

Loading the car, and he decided to play with the leaves.  Beautiful photo op.

Love my little towhead.

Had to try on his new beanie as soon as it arrived in the mail.

Always leaning, finding that perfect spot.

a weekend of fun

Kristen got a little artsy on our playdate with the boys.  We believe in promoting street safety.

James, Brent, Jess and Casey came to visit!!  The following fun ensued (:

Touching the clouds on the top of Mount Trashmore.

Quick photo op before entering the Children's Museum.

Breakfast in the playhouse.

so sleepy

One of my favorite tricks from this one is just leaning back (no matter where he is) and closing his eyes.  Here he's fast asleep, sitting (almost) straight up.

Our goal was to feed the ducks the bread, but Keegan got a little ahead of himself on the way there.

Not sure if he loves the dogs, is just super curious, or both.

Still tiny enough to fit in a carry-on suitcase.

no respect

It was bedtime, and this is what Mike walked in on.  Cleary Keegan has no respect as he demanded Mike leave the room.

I really do love the messiness that we get to call morning.

neptune festival

This one is on the go. all smiles. all the time.  And he thinks everything is funny, especially when it comes to hiding and/or running/crawling away from us.

The annual Neptune Festival got moved indoors, but we still had a blast.  Kids (and parents) were given the chance to make some music, and afterwards were awarded a ticket to get on a 'book bus' and pick a free book. Such a neat experience!
