Despite the final product coming out (in my opinion) so, so good, making it was by far the best memories. My mom, Mike and I stayed up until midnight prepping the food for the party - the cake being part of it. My mom and I must have spent a least a few hours individually baking each layer. Once they were done, Mike began to ice them. I literally peed my pants (a little) when he put a layer of icing on and the other layer just slid right off. I was so deliriously tired I didn't even care. We ended up keeping two layers as back up just in case we couldn't get a new one baked. Being the Martha he is, Mike re-baked this beaut by himself the next morning.
I have to look through my professional camera to find better pictures, but for now this will have to do ... the mini cookies we had baked for his party. The number one's have his initials and an arrow to fit the Wild One theme.
Goody bags for the wee ones.
Devouring the birthday cake.
Riding the tractor with his cousin, Parker P. Totally smitten, this one.
We are so grateful for this little guy - his infectious smile and love for life make every day a little better. His temper, on the other hand, could use some work. ;)
Partyed out in Nanny's arms.
