life's beauties

Kisses for all.

We got to feed the ducks right as the sun was setting.

We even got to squeeze in a little time at the playground.  Unfortunately we didn't have a coat for Declyn (since it was in the 60's during the day), so Keegan was kind enough to share his.

This is how Mike shows his love and support for our fighter, Denise.

two sick babes

When no one wants to eat, donuts it is!

He was so tired from coughing all night that he fell asleep in the doctor's office while waiting to be seen.

He wouldn't let a temperature of 103.5 at the pediatricians keep him down.  Once he had a nebulizer treatment he was all smiles again.

Poor babes.  Luckily it was just viral, but it still sucked nonetheless.

Keegan was starting to sound a little wheezy, so I figured a treatment wouldn't hurt. He took it like a champ.

photo bombed

Here I was thinking I was taking a sweet picture of Keegan snuggling his baby sister, when in reality it was proof of sneaky Declyn drinking my propel.

After three shots at the doctors, this one was out.  His checkup, however, went great! He's 99% for height and 73% for weight.

When he woke up he discovered the bandaids that were put over his boo-boo's.

❤️ day

Celebrating this day of love getting recuperating from the stomach bug that took me out (and ended up doing the same to Mike the next day).  Everyone - James, Brent, Jessie, Casey, Mom, Dad, Smalls, myself and Mike - all had it for the weekend.  We thank Brent for spreading the love, since he was the first one hit.

Happy Valentine's Day!

These two sweethearts were so good about embracing a day of lounging and movie watching while I stayed stranded on the couch, trying to recover, while Mike was at work.

fly me to the moon

Testing out CC (and kids) homemade chocolate lollipops.

Cali doesn't care what she has to lean on, as long as she gets in her afternoon nap.

Spent the afternoon at the Air and Space Museum with the whole gang.

I love when he puts his hands in his pocket and walks around like he's a grown man.

weekend at bernies

This is what grocery shopping with Dad does to you. But the way he stayed propped up on the couch with his ankles crossed made us laugh hard.

Alyssa captured her dog, Andi, and Fen sharing a moment together. If you look closely, the little pup is resting her head on Fen during a timeout from play time.

treasure hunts

Pops is big into making treasure maps and having the grandkids follow it through the house in order to find whatever treasures he has hidden. In all honesty, I'm not sure who gets more excited about it -- him, or the kids.

A beautiful drive home.

sunset stroll

He is legit a happy person.

A sunset stroll through the neighborhood. D wanted to make sure Keegan was keeping up.

Some guy hung this sign on our door and for some reason (I think it was because of the action figure on it), Declyn insisted on sleeping with it.

a reasonable rain hat

It started to rain as we pulled up to the dentist's office, so Declyn insisted on putting on his (outgrown) Russian hat.  He told me had to wear it because it was raining outside.

Sometimes things can get a little loud at CC and Pops house, so Keegan takes things into his own hands in order to get in a good nap.

Don't worry -- his face wasn't completely covered.

I am one proud momma.

ready. set. run!

Now that Keegan is tall enough to get his little hands over the counter, the things I find in the sink .... I took this picture and sent it to Mike because whenever he's looking for something I reassure him that it will turn up somewhere.  Case in point.

Caught loving on Keegan's stuffed animal.

We must admit, he's pretty good at playing t-ball.

Trying out his brother's razor scooter.

Lining up for a race : cousins style.

Wild and free.

Someone couldn't take playing in the 70 degree weather.

save the snow

Thank goodness Keegan still appreciates me taking pictures because clearly D is over it.

Finally we got to play in some of this blizzard snow everyone was talking about.

Doing a little nose-dive into the snow pile.

caught in the crossfires

These two.  They are great when it comes to cleaning up the kids food messes, but can get pretty annoying when all they do is hover around the children while we try to eat a meal.  On occasion they get caught in the crossfires as Keegan throws his food at / towards them.  I'm not always sure if he's aiming for them, or the ground.   Either way they don't seem to mind.

Post-soccer fun at the indoor playground took a hard right when Jamie went down the super fast slide.  Dec and Parker, of course, thought it was hilarious.

Serious Sam over here.

Though he may be younger, Keegan is one bro-zilla who doesn't always want to share.

Playing with the last of the snow.
