morning commute.
Here's a sneak peak into my car rides in the morning and afternoon, Monday-Friday.
Fortunately, hubs and I are lucky enough to be able to drop Fenway off at my parent's house in the morning where she gets to socialize with our old dog (I can save that story for another post) and of course get nothing but love and affection from Smalls (my grandma) instead of being cooped up in a lonely house all day.
Usually she lays in the back seat (if she's not chewing on an item I've forgotten to take out) and sleeps with both paws stuck forward; however, I caught her at a moment when she was posing for the possibility of a photo op, which I'm always looking for.
I love our car rides together. Some mornings she'll climb up to the front seat and curl underneath the dashboard, while other times she sits like a human in the passenger seat and looks out the window while enjoying the warmth from the heated seat (don't worry, I put it on low).
Even though my car ride of about 60 minutes can suck sometimes (if I'm running late and/or on the drive home when I hit traffic), I do love that quiet time I get in the car to myself. Usually I talk to hubs for the majority of the car ride to work, and at least once on the way home, but other than that I listen to music and just think. I think that time alone is underrated and more people should take a moment just to themselves. You'll be surprised to see what you find.
