doggie daycare

This city is never dull.  The locals are displaying all sorts of talents left and right.

I finally framed the picture I love of Fenway and Mike-- now all I need to do is find where to hang it.

We have to board Fen in a few weeks so we went online and found the best of the best, which is a cage-free doggy daycare.  Today I had to drop her off for her "temperament test" (where I watched her play with other dogs for 15 minutes, followed by 6 hours of socialization).  Now I know why people put their children in daycare-- I had a relaxing day and got errands run.

note: I called and asked about the word "suspiciously" and the woman explained that Fen was extremely well behaved and laid back, which they don't see in the boxers that come through.  In fact, she said that boxer owners drop their dogs off there just to get their energy out.  Needless to say, this woman will never write down the word suspiciously again in a report.

Last night there was a quote, "small unit fire" in our apartment.  We didn't realize it until we saw the paparazzi on the street and stepped outside to see what the commotion was about.  Nice little Monday evening.

My mom sent me this today.  When I told her James looked scared shitless she replied, "he was just taking it all in. he had fun." You be the judge.

Last night's mailbox also brought a few surprises, including this cut card from my mom thanking Mike and I for our hospitality the week she was here.  What a sweetheart she is.

And my second surprise?  A present from Kristi!!  Mike pulled an Anthropologie bag out of the mailbox and asked, "what did you order now?" And on top of the beautiful scarf, I also got her adorable thank you card for her wedding!

In case you can't read the sweet card, it says, "Happy Birthday!!  Wanted to make you smile."

I love waking up to this face, especially when she's buried deep in the covers and spooning me.

RIP my favorite toy...

any guesses as to who the culprit was?
