six months

Wellll he just turned 7 months yesterday, so to say this post is late is a given.  And clearly they're not cropped appropriately, so as I'm typing this he's waking up from his nap; therefore, I'm going to keep this short and simple.  :)

I don't even have to point out how tight his clothes are fitting here, but I will. I was in denial about these pants (because I was obsessed with them) but after this photo shoot they went into his 'doesn't fit anymore' bin to be passed on to siblings, along with the shirt.
Bottom left -- a rattle to keep him entertained when he's not feeling this.

Pocket top found here.

He loves to put his arms (usually both) behind his ears.

At six months we can't live without...

1. the CliffNote version of The Sleepeasy Solution.  I say CliffNote's because my best friend read it for her son and summed it up for me.  With this technique we now have 3 'scheduled' naps and bedtime is a breeze.
2. the sheep sleep sound for night time (and nap time) and LOTS of books to go with our routine.
3. the Sleepy Sounds app for when we're out and about and he can't keep it together.
4. solids are messy so we use our favorite bib -- mini manic's
5. we can not go anywhere without soph
6. while he's still working it out in his jumperoo and an exerciser for upstairs, we spend a lot more time on the floor practicing crawling and sitting so a thick, soft blanket to put on top of our rug is an essential
7. a baby monitor to watch him sleep.  we use this monitor, but once our next one comes along we're going to switch to Summer Infant where you can have one screen with two monitors.
8. solids -- we use the Gerber line from Target. He's now up to 3 meals a day-- yogurt in the morning and some sort of fruit/veggie in the afternoon. these spoons are great -- they turn white if the food's too hot. but my husband (and Declyn) seem to love these.
9. pajamas without feet and a nice pair of socks to go with it for bedtime.
10. a highchair for when he eats solids.
11. puffs are helping him to learn to grasp and eat on his own
12. no matter what toys I put on the floor, he always seems to go after blocks
13. I can't believe I've never mentioned this, but our nightlight that we love.
