nine months

This month we waited until the day before his 10 month birthday (surprise, surprise!) so I was left taking the pictures by myself.  I must say, they didn't turn out too bad.

"Whatever Mom, just take the pic."

"Wait, you're not done?"

"Sure, I'll sit and cheese it up for you."

"Just kidding, it'd rather stand."

At nine months we can't live without...

1.  the sheep sleep sound for night time (and nap time) and LOTS of books to go with our routine.  we started switching things up and also use this one -- it's more musically inclined.
2. we are currently only using this non-distructable bib.  it's amazing.
3. we are officially back to WubbaNub's -- I think it feels good on his teeth.
4. toys, toys and more toys.  however, as many toys as we may have, he seems to favor his foam blocks (they're soft, so he chews them) and his musical table. he's also a fan of this number.
5. a baby monitor to watch him sleep, or in our case, scale his crib.  we use this monitor, but once our next one comes along we're going to switch to Summer Infant where you can have one screen with two monitors.
6. these squeezable solids are fun for the road; we're not prone to a certain brand, yet.
7. a starter toothbrush and toothpaste.
8. pajamas without feet and a nice pair of socks to go with it for bedtime.
9. a highchair for when he eats solids.
10. puffs for him to practice picking up food and feeding himself, as well as occupy him while I make a bottle, get food ready, etc.  warning: in my opinion, the peach ones (although tasty) are horrible when it comes to leaving stains.  he now also chows down on wagon wheels and cheese puffs (try them - they're delicious).  we also carry cheerios with us and he loves mum-mums.
11. our nightlight that we love.
12. a breathable blanket for nap time and night time. for these chilly nights we have been doubling up with our comfy blanket. and we've also added one of his many jelly cat's to the mix.
13. it's hard to find a good pair of shoes that his Fred Flintstone feet actually fit.  so far, these (and a few other Baby Gap shoes) are the best.
14. a warm raincoat, northface, or toggle coat.
15. bath toys to keep him occupied.
16. a sippy cup - this kid chugs water.
17. not a necessity, but a very nice bonus for parents -- a kneeler for bath time.
18. baby gates -- these ones from Amazon work for us.
19. outlet plugs are a must. we got these.

in lieu of locks for cabinets, my sister-in-law suggested thick rubber banks so that's currently what we're using.
