The day after Thanksgiving, the town center near our house holds a Christmas parade. Last year we started the tradition of going to it. This year, Declyn and James were able to participate in the tot trot, where they ran about two blocks with Mike. I use the term ran quite loosely because a. they were legit the last people to start because apparently James had to go the bathroom as soon as they lined up, so Mike took him to the nearest bushes to release himself. b. Declyn ran about 20 steps before turning to Mike and wanting to get picked up. At least the footage my mom got was the short moment they actually ran. No one ever has to know the real story.
"Cheeeeeese". Staying warm before the race.
Thrilled about the parade.
Congratulating each other post race for an amazing run. Plus, showing off their (everybody gets a ribbon) ribbon.
Declyn had the best view in the house.
This guy has been such a daddy's boy with Mike being home the last two weeks -- he wants absolutely nothing to do with me.
Our best attempt at a family selfie.
Over it.
