bittersweet goodbyes

One of my favorite places to get frozen yogurt, no joke, is for $1 at Ikea.  And the best part is that the Ikea here is only 15 minutes from our house, not like the 50 minutes at home where the treat is rare!  And in that case, I like to head to Costco for a cheap treat.

9 picture frames for Declyn's nursery -- I can't wait until we start putting the nursery together so I can fill them with prints.

Did I cry when we decided to move? For weeks.  Did I cry every time I went back and had to get back on a plane to head to SD? Possibly.  Now here's the real kicker... I teared up when I saw this sweet email that Mike sent to myself and our friends that we've made along the way.  I'm not surprised that in the end I'm going to miss this gorgeous town and of course the people we have come to call our friends.  Something I wrote in Mike's card for vday I think sums it up nicely - San Diego was the move of a lifetime and a blessing in disguise.  Aside from the millions of minutes we've got to spend just Mike and I, and all that we got to see / do, we're also coming back with another boxer and a baby.  Life couldn't be better (until Mike comes home for good beginning of April).
