seven months

I don't know why his dirty blonde hair always looks red with our professional camera.

Smiling at his dad.

And this is our life … anything in sight gets put in his hand and 9.5/10 times, into his mouth.

"I can scoot like an inchworm on the move and pull myself up to a standing position."

He found his sticker tie…

… and of course put it in his mouth.

Anything he can rub his teeth against, he's all for.

A combo of reaching for his dad and rocking in his chair.

Mid-chatter.

'Dad, don't you dare try to get me off my chair.'  He was chatting it up for a good 15 minutes straight.

At seven months we can't live without...

1.  the sheep sleep sound for night time (and nap time) and LOTS of books to go with our routine.
2. solids are messy so we use our favorite bib -- mini manic's ; however, he's starting to take it off on his own every time he eats.
3. we can not go anywhere without soph
4. we are officially back to WubbaNub's -- I think it feels good on his teeth.
5. toys, toys and more toys.  out of everything he has, he currently loves his blocks the most, as well as these simple stacking cups (dollar bin at Target).
6. a baby monitor to watch him sleep, or in our case, scale his crib.  we use this monitor, but once our next one comes along we're going to switch to Summer Infant where you can have one screen with two monitors.
7. solids -- we use the Gerber line from Target. He's now up to 3 meals a day-- yogurt in the morning and some sort of fruit/veggie in the afternoon. these spoons are great -- they turn white if the food's too hot. but my husband (and Declyn) seem to love these.
8. pajamas without feet and a nice pair of socks to go with it for bedtime.
9. a highchair for when he eats solids.
10. puffs for him to practice picking up food and feeding himself, as well as occupy him while I make a bottle, get food ready, etc.  warning: in my opinion, the peach ones (although tasty) are horrible when it comes to leaving stains.
11. I can't believe I've never mentioned this, but our nightlight that we love.
12. a breathable blanket for nap time and night time.
13. it's hard to find a good pair of shoes that his Fred Flintstone feet actually fit.  so far, these (and a few other Baby Gap shoes) are the best.
14. a warm raincoat.
15. bath toys to keep him occupied.
