nickel & nickel

Our final day in Napa was spent at Nickel & Nickel.

Just another scenic pictorial.

Nickel & Nickel was by far the most intimate winery that we went to.  After checking in we were told to wait in the "room to your right"-- aka this picture.  On this tour we were with three other couples, and the eight of us were literally the only people on the property so it was a very private tour.

We got white wine right off the bat (my favorite) and then went on the tour including the barn (their offices) that they had taken down and driven from New Hampshire before it was burned down, the containers that actually make the wine (ferment it) and the cellar where it waits to age.

After the tour we all went back to a private dining area where we sat down and finished the wine tastings of red wine with cheese and crackers.  here we purchased a few more bottles.

Nickel & Nickel was such a discreet winery that you had to call them to be let in.

Before we headed to the winery we walked around the town, did a little antique shopping and found my favorite-- frozen yogurt!

Clearly we were staying in a classy establishment.

My mom sent me this picture... my dad is obsessed.

Just a swan or two on the way to breakfast in the morning.
