Time home = nonstop time with my nephew!
We went down the slide together since the first time we tried it solo he wasn't too thrilled.
Walking around Burke Lake... he looks like such a little boy. What you don't see is my mom promising him to ride the train (he pulls his arm and says "cho-choo" whenever you bring up a train) only to get there and have it closed for the day.
James only wanted to get on the train at the kid's play area. I was so excited to see him socializing because last time we were there he wanted nothing but to cling to my leg.
Our first attempt at the slide... his shoes stuck to the slide and he started to go head first. Clearly I was holding onto him so he didn't go anywhere, but I think he was a little traumatized...
Someone got fitted for some new shoes! He's a little OCD and prefers that everyone wears their shoes while in the house OR he'll go and get his shoe and give them to you, implying that he wants to go outside.
We grabbed lunch at Occoquan, where he was interested in nothing but the ducks swimming in the pond. I forgot to take a picture, but it was still a memorable time.
