My sugar cookie contribution to the fourth of July party. It was a recipe I got from Pinterest where you roll the dough in sprinkles and then cut and bake so that the sprinkles are on the outside. I added some extra sprinkles to some of them due to the strawberries that didn't turn out right (see below).

Apparently San Diego has Taco Tuesday's, which reminds me of home since Mike and his best friend used to have Taco Tuesday's weekly while they watched Fringe. Anyways, while we were sitting outside enjoying our tacos, I spotted this beaut. I immediately took a picture and sent it to my dad since he has such a love for these classics.

Our "chocolate covered strawberries" didn't really turn out that way. Another cute idea from Pinterest-- strawberries dipped in white chocolate with blue sprinkles at the bottom. Of course they didn't turn out right but I have to give props to B-- he spent a decent amount of time trying to help me make them work. I hate to say this, but we ended up throwing them away. :( I thought it was too pretentious to take them outside and offer them to homeless people on the streets.

This was where we enjoyed our $2 tacos! Something interesting about this place is you can't put your name on a list for outside seating-- it's literally just first come / first serve. Therefore, we had to stand around like creepy stalkers while we waited for people to finish their meals. It was worth the wait, though!

How else would we enjoy our tacos other than with Mexican beer and a margarita? Oh, and of course, guacamole! (side note: the margarita tasted a little milkshake-y and I ended up getting something else, but the lesson is learned). Mike and I destroyed the chips and dip while my sister-in-law let me snap this picture of her with the food and drinks.
