Sunday-- the day of the Lord and football.
My dad sent me this picture of him and James watching the Redskins game-- clearly James wishes he was doing something else.
After church we went looking for somewhere to eat and instead found this. No, I didn't spot any famous celebrities, aka Tom.
Mike and I woke up at 6 (to be fair Mike woke up at 5:30 and I rolled out of bed, literally, at 6) so that we could hike Mt. Cowles. This was the drive there-- up before the sun.
We made it to the top! Fenway did such a good job, only stopping along the way when we offered her water.
One of the views from the top.
And another.
Side note: on the way up a man literally Parkour-ed right in front of us. We were at a narrow turn in the mountain with two boulders on either side of us and he jumped from one boulder down to the other and continued to run. Mike and I both looked at each other in amazement / confusion. I don't think I've ever seen anyone Parkour except for on TV.
After church we headed to the bar across the street to check out the games. It's weird having football start at 10 AM... and to make things even better, the entire bar was filled with people in their game day jerseys and there's Mike and I, in church attire.
We got to watch the 5:30 Steelers game with my aunt and uncle while enjoying a BBQ. It's nice having family in town, especially since back home Sunday's are usually spent with family watching football.
