date night la jolla style

Closet cleaned? check!  I finally got around to unpacking my suitcases, baskets and bags and organizing (my side) of the closest after much encouragement from Smalls (my grandma).  Shows you how much I am enjoying my vacation home-- as she was quick to point, I always have my things organized and ready to go almost immediately upon arrival, although not as fast as my husband who has his bags unpacked before the door is closed.  Now all that's left is making sure it stays that way.

As we were walking the streets of La Jolla we stumbled upon a piece of home-- Rosslyn (although San Diego has some trouble with their spelling)...

My favorite part of the night-- Yogurtland!!  There's around 16 different flavors of frozen yogurt that you get yourself, add whatever toppings you'd like, and finally put it on a scale to be weighed before you pay for it.  Tonight's helping was a mix of vanilla bean, cake better, strawberry & some type of berry.  Delicious!!
[And no, Mike did not have any because it's not "real" ice cream.  Although I will give it to him-- he'll eat Pinkberry with me!]

Above Fen's crate I hung some cards from a few people I love-- Smalls, Meagan, Alyssa, Denise, Kristen & Lauren.  Each wrote a sweet message on a card before I left (and of course Small's came after we'd been here-- she likes to give us cards whenever we move into new places, and this is our third place).  Thank you, little lady!

This was our view on our drive to La Jolla-- such a pretty sky.

My camera phone was acting up, but this picture came out interestingly enough.  As we were walking Mike instantly jumped into this metal cut outs of a boy and a girl (think giant cookie cutters).  Unfortunately it was just the two of us, and late at night, so we wouldn't get anyone to take a picture of me in the girl's cut out...maybe photo shop?
